UK Senior Accountant (Temporary WFH)

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious Qualified Senior Accountant with previous experience in year-end accounting, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and management accounting, wanting to progress with their career, who wants to work within a forward-thinking accountancy practice operating internationally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Preparing annual financial statements for a wide variety of clients using Accounts Production and cloud software such as Xero, FreeAgent, and others.
• Preparing income tax computations for sole traders, corporation tax computations for companies, and VAT returns, while liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Managing your own portfolio of clients, subject to the general oversight of the Practice Manager/Senior Accountants, who will act as your mentor.
• Identifying and suggesting ongoing process improvements and changes.
• Handling client queries via phone, email, and in person where required.

Requirements: 

• Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy and ideally a CPA
• Candidates must have at least one year of recent experienceContinue using Xero in an accounting firm.
• Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel, Cloud Software (experience with FreeAgent and Xero)
• Must have a strong eye for detail and accuracy
• Has the ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a pressured environment without compromising client experience
• With excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
• Self-motivated and takes ownership of assigned tasks
• Strong analytical and research skills to maintain and develop your technical knowledge
• Ability to produce accurate and timely work
• Must have a stable internet connection for a work-from-home arrangement. The designated work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, UK (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM MNL)
