You'll oversee accurate, compliant processing of UK payrolls for a growing portfolio of SME clients - ensuring employees are paid correctly, pension and HMRC submissions are on point, and high service standards are met.
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, you'll supervise and mentor one or more Payroll Administrators, handle more complex queries, and be responsible for upholding quality and compliance in every pay run. This is a critical role in maintaining trust and accuracy as we scale our offshore payroll delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end processing of UK payrolls for multiple clients
- Review and approve payrolls, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Supervise and train junior team members in UK payroll best practices
- Handle complex calculations (e.g. statutory payments, benefits)
- Submit RTI filings (FPS, EPS) and manage year-end returns (P60, P11D)
- Administer and monitor pension auto-enrolment across clients
- Act as a senior point of contact for client payroll queries
- Maintain high service standards and keep up to date with legislation
- Drive improvements in process, documentation and client comms
- Support during busy periods with hands-on processing as needed
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy or any accounting related field
- At least 4+ years' experience in UK end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, statutory payments, and RTI rules
- Must have an experience working with or overseeing multiple client payrolls
- Must have an experience with UK payroll software (e.g. BrightPay, Staffology, Sage)
- Must be confident in reviewing, approving, and submitting payrolls
- Must be able to mentor and train others, with a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable with UK pension legislation and auto-enrolment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written English and email communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience managing or supporting a team is ideal
- Payroll qualification (local or UK) is also ideal
- Experience supporting HMRC audits or enquiries is a plus
- Familiarity with payroll journal entries and finance reconciliations is great to have
Location: Global One Building, Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City
Schedule: Monday to Friday, UK (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM MNL)
