AU Tax Accountant (WFH)

You’ll take ownership of your work, enjoy regular collaboration with management, partner with finance peers, and engage across different business functions to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Australian Annual Financial Statements, along with workpapers for various entities, including Sole Trader Individuals, Partnerships, Companies, and Trusts; for review and submission to the relevant Business Services Manager in charge.
  • Prepare Annual Australian Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies, and Trusts; for review and submission to the relevant Business Services Manager in charge.
  • Solid understanding of Investment Income for Income Tax purposes including, Dividend Income, Managed Fund and Trust Distributions, Cryptocurrency Income, Rental Income, etc., for the preparation of Income Tax Returns.
  • Good understanding of Australian GST and PAYG withholding, and able to reconcile client's Business Activity Statements for the year end Annual Financial Statements.

Requirements: 

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any accounting related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required for this position
  • Experience in identifying Australian tax issues including Capital Gains Tax, Division 7A, Payroll Tax, Superannuation obligations, payment of company dividends and franking account
  • Should have a good understanding of the Australian Tax Laws
  • Proficiency in using Xero accounting software
  • Has a strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must have an effective interpersonal style including demonstrated sense of judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently under broad supervision, as well as ability to work well in a team to achieve results
  • Should have an excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, including ability to work under pressure with competing work demands and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent Communication skills - both verbal and written

Location: Global One Building, Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City
 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
Work Arrangement: Work-from-home
