We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Intermediate Accountant with 2-3 years of experience to support our finance and accounting operations. This offshore position involves working closely with the onshore team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting reconciliations.
- Prepare Financial Statements and Tax Returns including BAS preparation
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Year-end reporting for payroll
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with onshore finance team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a shared service or offshore setting).
- CPA or equivalent certification (completed or in progress) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero & MYOB).
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Experience of working with international clients or teams.
- Familiarity with time zone coordination and remote collaboration tools (Teams etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
Work Arrangement: Onsite during probationary period then WFH after probationary
