AU Risk and Compliance Analyst (Hybrid)

In this role, you will support our client by ensuring the firm remains compliant with its risk and regulatory obligations. You will work closely with the Risk and Compliance Manager based in Australia as well as collaborate with staff across the organization in the completion of your duties. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives under pressure, and brings a strong sense of accountability to their work.
  
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct file reviews across insolvency engagements to assess compliance with statutory obligations and internal procedures.
  • Monitor and track engagement milestones (e.g. Statutory lodgment, meeting notices, report deadlines) in IPS Cloud.
  • Review statutory reports and key documents prepared by engagement teams to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Risk & Compliance Manager in identifying areas of risk, non-compliance, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Contribute to the preparation of risk and compliance review reports for internal boards, committees, and management meetings.
  • Maintain, test, and update internal compliance checklists, policies, and guidance materials (e.g. flowchart-linked SOPs).
  • Monitor the status and quality of conflict checks and KYC documentation, escalating any inconsistencies or delays.
  • Coordinate data gathering and evidence for internal and external audits, regulatory responses, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to understand the processes, promoting a strong compliance culture.
  • Learn and develop fluency in the firm’s project management and insolvency platforms (e.g. Turnkey IPS, SharePoint).

  
Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or any related field
  • At least 1 year of professional or internship experience in finance, operations, or risk is required for this position
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong experience with Data Analytics skills by using data analytics tools or Power BI to extract metadata from system and build risk and compliance dashboard
  • Analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Good organization and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow structured processes and procedures and the willingness to learn and develop insolvency operations and regulatory knowledge
  • Must be willing to work on a fixed AU shift, Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
  • Must have a stable internet connection for a hybrid arrangement (onsite daily for the first month before transitioning to a hybrid set-up thereafter). The designated remote work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.

Schedule: AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite during the first month then will transition to onsite thrice every week)
