AU Accountant (WFH)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities:
Daily

  • Daily Transaction Allocations in Xero
  • Check Hubdoc and process invoices to send to Xero

Weekly

  • Manual timesheet entries for 2x Employees
  • Prepare and Process Payroll from Workbench to Xero
  • Prepare weekly creditor payments for 2x Companies

Monthly

  • Reconcile bank guarantee spreadsheet and sent to appropriate personnel for follow up
  • AP Statement reconciliations for 2x Companies
  • Bank reconciliations on all 3x Companies
  • Draft Monthly P&L for 3x Entities
  • Prepare Inter-company invoicing and send to Finance Manager for review
  • Debtor monitoring for 3x Companies and raise late payments/issues with appropriate personnel for follow up
  • Open new periods in Workbench
  • Close older months (after approval from Finance Manager)
  • Workbench Project Forecasting
  • Job profitability reports for PM and Senior Management

Quarterly

  • Assist with quarterly financial reporting
  • Prepare board meeting agenda from Template
  • Fuel tax credit workpaper

Adhoc Tasks

  • Assist with FBT declarations preparation
  • Assist with new Xero Depreciation register
  • Insurance updates throughout the year (Plant and MV)
  • Plant updates incl depreciation registers and journal monthly depreciation
  • Assist with insurance renewal and annual review
  • Update Progress Claims/Non-claims spreadsheet – update when paid
  • Double Checking Workbench for batches that need to be exported
  • Creating/Updating plant codes and description in WB
  • Late Payment Interest Charges Schedule
  • Assist with annual review of VicRoads registrations
  • General filing and admin
  • Convert existing OHS/QA documents to new format.
  • Update Workbench Employee Classes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Proficiency in Xero, Hubdoc, (or similar platforms)
  • Experience in construction platforms such as Workbench and Upvise (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong Excel capabilities
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with our on-site teams
  • Must have a stable internet connection for a work-from-home arrangement. The designated work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
Work Arrangement: Temporary WFH
