AU Accountant (WFH)

Strong communication skills and the capacity to operate effectively in a cross-cultural setting are essential for this role.

The position involves frequent and autonomous communication with management, as well as collaboration with peers in finance and other functional areas of the business.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Bookkeeping: Processing data, payroll preparation, managing the general ledger, maintaining the trial balance, and reconciling discrepancies in financial records.
  • Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and making corrections where appropriate.
  • Preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and self managed superannuation funds, including Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefit Tax returns.
  • Administering and processing superannuation contributions.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of income tax regulations and legislation.
  • Providing accounting services to all areas of the client's business as required.

 
Requirements: 

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
  • At least 2 years of general accounting experience is required for this position. 
  • Experience working with Australian firm is an advantage.
  • Meticulous and has a keen attention to detail.
  • Must be organized, goal-driven and results oriented.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills.
  • Should be willing to work on AU shift (7AM to 3 PM MNL)
  • Must have a reliable internet connection for a work from home setup.
