AU Accountant (Hybrid)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Accountant to join the dynamic finance team of our client!

You will play a critical role in managing the financial records and reporting. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial insights to the management team.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting activities, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis, insights, and support for decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform regular audits to identify financial discrepancies and recommend improvements to internal controls.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics, highlighting trends and variances to management.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) accounts in accordance with Australian accounting standards and client-specific requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

 
Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy or any accounting related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required for this position
  • Solid background in AU accounting principles and regulatory requirements is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Taxcalc)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a stable internet connection for a work from home arrangement   
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

Location: Global One Building, Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City
Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
