Good question! At Frontline Accounting, the Sourcing Team is very much part of Recruitment. However, we have a special mission. Think of us as the behind-the-scenes detectives for talent. We don’t just wait for great candidates to find us; we go out and find them.
This began as a small experiment to make hiring faster and smarter by being more targeted. What started as a trial with just one Sourcing Assistant has since grown into a fully developed, high-performing team of six playing a crucial role in connecting top talent with the right opportunities.
Internally, we’re called the Sourcers and it’s not just a clever nickname. It’s from our deliberate and strategic function in the hiring process. Hand us a job description (no matter how vague) and a specific shift (whether it’s day or graveyard), we’ll still find the perfect candidate. We don’t rely on luck, while our posts attract, it’s our tried-and-tested search strategies that deliver.
So, what exactly is sourcing? It’s the foundation of our hiring process. While recruiters handle interviews, assessments, offers, and face the clients, we work at the very start of the journey: actively searching, reaching out, and engaging people who might not even be job hunting yet but are perfect for the role.
The process starts with understanding the job requirements and collaborating closely with the recruiters. From there, we explore online platforms like LinkedIn, job boards, and other networks to identify candidates who not only fit the qualifications but also align with the values and culture of Frontline Accounting and our clients. Like our recruiters, we’re not just looking for someone who can do the job, we’re looking for someone who will thrive in the role and in our company culture.
Once we find a strong match, we send a personalized message to catch the candidate's interest and get the conversation going. This targeted approach keeps our pipeline flowing, shortens time-to-fill, and provides our recruiters with high-quality leads to nurture all the way to hiring.
