AU Tax Accountant (WFH)

This position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of Australian tax laws, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and lodge Income Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs in line with ATO requirements.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
- Prepare and analyse financial reports including Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and SMSF financial reports.
- Handle daily bookkeeping tasks like reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Oversee and maintain full client ledgers, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage month-end closing tasks, including journal entries, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide end-to-end accounting support across all areas of the client's business operations.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy or any accounting related field
- At least 3 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation practices is required
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to work on a fixed AU shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) from Monday to Friday.
- Must have a stable internet connection for a WFH arrangement. The designated remote work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.
Location: Global One Building, Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City
Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
