AU Accountant (Hybrid)

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to support our Australian client!
The role needs strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. The role is expected to have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance and other functions/business.
You'll need to be pro-active, have a client-focused mind and create and maintain strong and effective relationships with the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bookkeeping.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Assist with the document preparation for income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies.
- Prepare/verify financial statements, ledgers and accounts and make corrections where appropriate.
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Document management: request, receive, organize and maintain company documentation.
- Perform other job-related functions as required by management.
Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related program
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in general accounting or a related role
- Australian accounting/bookkeeping experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Xero is a must (Xero Certification is an advantage)
- Experience in a BPO setting is ideal
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to adapt and grow with the business.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Stable internet connection for a hybrid arrangement (The designated remote work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, AU (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Enjoy work-from-home Mondays and Fridays, then collaborate onsite with the team from Tuesday to Thursday)
